Durham

Yesterday I went to see my brother at university in Durham. We went to his house to pick him up then went out for dinner. I had a cheese and bacon burger. I ate almost all of it but then it was taken away. I ate all of my treacle pudding after though! After that we went shopping at the market. I bought a secret thing for someone. Then we went to get a cup of coffee. I had a hot chocolate with Maltesers in it and half a scone. Today I'm going to Stockeld christmas park to go cross country skiing with my home ed group.

The Yorkshire Waterways Museum

Yesterday then I went to the Yorkshire Water Museum with my grandma. It took us ages to get there (An hour and a half to be exact but it only took us half an hour to get home!). There was a boat called a tom pudding which was also known as the railway on the water. It took coal from one place to another and then the coal got tipped onto a ship. We saw how they made buffers so other boats wouldn't damage it. we had lunch there. I had a tuna mayo sandwich and grandma had a toasted teacake.

This weekend I went to London with my dad. We had free first class tickets for the train and the first class lounge. I had a hot chocolate in the first class lounge and my dad had an orange juice. When we got to London then we had our lunch (at McDonald's) and then went to Tower Pier. We took a boat to Greenwich Pier and walked through the foot tunnel under the river and back. after that we went up to the Royal observatory to look at the museum. Dad and I stepped on the Meridian Line.

On the second day then we went to the science museum. On the third floor then there was a bit called launch pad. it was all about how things worked and how things interacted with each other. There was a rocket show that showed you all about rockets. We were
showed Newtons three laws of motion. I had to be a
rocket and push against a wheelie chair to make it go.
After that then we went for lunch I had a fish and chips and Dad had some chicken and sweetcorn soup. For pudding I had a cookie as big as my head! After lunch we went to the future section. They had a big board that you could play games on like cloning extinct animals. Then we went to the who am I bit. There was a backwards driving game that was quite hard.

When we had lunch on the way home then I had a sausage roll and a chocolate pastry thing. On the train I had an Aero hot chocolate.

Hom Ed Group Fungi

Last week then me and the home ed group went on a walk in the woods to find some fungi. We didn't find many but we built a big den. Someone had already built a den so we ate our lunch in there and then stole the sticks off it! This is our den.
We had a lot of fun roling the sticks down the big hill that was there. I found a lot of really big sticks that broke when I pulled them down the hill.

Because we didn't find many fungi last week I went to the wood again with my Mum and we found a really big one. we also found a dog stinkhorn. My Mum has never seen one. Stinkhorns really smell.

Home Ed Group

I go to a home ed group every Wednesday. Last week we went to Dalby Forest to have a barbecue. there was a stream so while the barbecue was warming up we had a play in it. I put my wellies on so my feet wouldn't get wet but it was so deep the water went in through the top. It was impossible to get them off and when I did I had to tip all the water out!!!

This week then we went to the Yorkshire museum to say good bye to the Australian children. There was an activity where you could build a super bug. You could choose the body, head, legs and super powers like hover and web spinning. We had our lunch outside. It was really windy! When we came back in we had a hot drink and Sue (The organiser) found out where the new family were.

Introduction

Hi. This is Home Ed Boy writing his first blog. I have 3 brothers a mum and a dad. My youngest brother has very long hair and dosen't want it cut. The next brother up is just opening a bank account at natwest. My oldest brother is just starting his 4th year at university. My Mum is the best cook in the world and makes a delicious steak pie and my Dad has been made redundant and is looking for another job. The best bit about being home educated is that when I've finished my work I can do whatever I want! I am writing a blog entry every week for my english.
